On 17 May 2023, the Counsellor and Assistant Defense Advisor met with Mr. Kaviraj, Vr. Venkatesh and Mr Eric Lex Bryne from SMH Rail. SMH Rail is a Malaysian company that manufactures locomotives, wagons, rail axles as well as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service provider with a presence in more than 21 countries. Both sides agreed to work on introducing and promoting SMH Rail to the stakeholders in the UAE transportation sector. With a strong portfolio in the rail industry, SMH Rail will be able to contribute to the expansion of UAE's ambitious transportation networks.
