On 13 June 2023, Tourism Malaysia and Qatar Airways organized a Joint Seminar at the Le Meridian Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The Joint-Seminar was attended by more than 80 guests from various travel and media agencies in Abu Dhabi. The Joint-Seminar was intended to brief the guest on the current collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and Qatar Airways as well as to promote the latest tourist attractions in Malaysia. In his speech, HE Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil bin Shamsuddin commended the work of Tourism Malaysia with Qatar Airways in promoting Malaysia as a tourist destination. Since its full reopening of international borders, Malaysia has recorded a total of 10.07 million tourist arrival and RM28.2 billion (AED23.5 billion) in tourist receipts in 2022, surpassing its initial target of 9.2 million international tourist arrivals.
