On 22 January 2024, HE Tan Sri IGP visited the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. During the visit, HE Tan Sri IGP paid a courtesy call on HE Major General Fares Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Abu Dhabi Police Commander-in-Chief (CIC). During the courtesy call, the IGP and the CIC exchanged briefings on the setup of the police system in Abu Dhabi and Malaysia. The CIC further informed that Abu Dhabi has been voted the safest city in the world for eight consecutive years by Numbeo. Both leaders also agreed to elevate the state of cooperation between the countries in policing and security matters.
The Malaysian delegation also visited the Abu Dhabi Safe City Centre. The Safe City is Abu Dhabi Police's state-of-the-art artificial intelligence system and technology, which includes 14 technical systems covering security, traffic systems based on integration and interconnectivity in AI, data systems, analysis, and more. Next, the delegation also visited the Abu Dhabi Police Aviation Department where they were briefed on the Department's aviation roles and routines.
