On 13 August 2022, ASEAN Bowling Tournament was held at Deniz Mall On Top Bowling Centre, Baku organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in joint collaboration with the Embassy of Malaysia to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of ASEAN.
The event was participated by over 35 guests including the Ambassadors and spouses, all officers and staff as well as family members that played in two (2) teams’ categories, namely male and female with each Embassy fielding ten (10) players.
Team from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia emerged as the champion of this year’s tournament under male category while female category won by the Embassy of Malaysia respectively. The winners walked away with a challenge trophy and an individual medal. The bowling tournament was part of the initiatives of the ASEAN Committee in Baku to strengthen the bond of friendship and solidarity among ASEAN communities through various events and programmes.
