On 3 April 2022, Iftar event with Malaysian Diaspora hosted by H.E. Dato’ Yubazlan Yusof, Ambassador of Malaysia to Baku, Republic Azerbaijan and YM Tengku Datin Zakiah Tengku Zahid was held at the Residence under the Public Diplomacy Programme. The event was held in collaboration with PERWAKILAN Baku.
It is estimated that a total of 40 guests comprising of Home-Based officers and staff, Locally Recruited Staff and Malaysians working in Baku as well as their family members attended the event this year. The event began with an iftar meal, Maghrib and Isya’ prayer and followed by Tarawih prayer led by Ustaz Mohd Norisam Abdul Rahman. Traditional Malaysian delicacies such as masak lemak udang, rendang daging and traditional Malay desserts were served during this event.
