On 29 January 2026, His Excellency Dato’ Norman Muhama, Ambassador of Malaysia to the People’s Republic of China, delivered a keynote address at the opening ceremony of the “Belt and Road Green Brand Going Global Initiative & Annual Forum,” organised by the All-China Environment Federation (ACEF).
Held under the theme “Precise Connection – Joint Ecological Protection,” this year’s forum brought together distinguished leaders and representatives, including the Ambassadors of Egypt, Indonesia, the Maldives, and Türkiye.
In his address, His Excellency Ambassador shared insights on practical cooperation between China and Southeast Asian countries, with a focus on Malaysia in three key environmental sectors: solid waste management, water treatment, and green energy.
His Excellency Ambassador, affirmed Malaysia’s readiness to deepen collaboration with China under the complementary frameworks of the 13th Malaysia Plan (2026–2030) and China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), underscoring a shared commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation to new heights.
