The Embassy of Malaysia in the People’s Republic of China and the Ladies Association of the Embassy (PERWAKILAN) successfully raised RMB 2 million through the Malaysian Charity Gala Dinner 2016. The proceeds were donated to Malaysian children undergoing liver transplant at the Renji Hospital in Shanghai and to fund educational programmes organized by the China Youth Development Foundation in Beijing.
More than 500 people from Malaysia and China attended the event and the audience were treated to star lined performers consisting of international singing sensation and Malaysia’s Tourism Ambassador Shila Amza, Comedian Harith Iskandar and rising songstress Melody Tan.
