On 26 November 2016, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou led by its PERWAKILAN participated in the 5th Edition of the Guangdong International Charity Sale organized by the Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office. The event which was held at the Tee-Mall, Tian He District supported by the Consular Corps was aimed to raise funds and awareness for underprivileged school children living in the rural area of Guangdong province.
2. The Malaysian booth was manned by members of PERWAKILAN GUANGZHOU which promoted and sold various products including Malaysian cuisine, batik, handicrafts and many more items. In addition, the Consulate General also contributed a stage dress wore famous Malaysian singer Ms. Shila Amzah for auction.
3. Despite the rainy weather, PERWAKILAN was able to raise and contributed its proceeds from the sale to the main organiser. The Consulate General is committed to continue supporting charitable events as part of its CSR programme.
