The Malaysian Consulate General in Guangzhou organized the ASEAN CG Golf Cup 2017 at the Holiday Island Golf Course in Qingyuan, Guangdong Province on Sunday, 23 April 2017. The event was jointly supported by the Consulate General from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
2. The Consuls General from Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and India all participated in the event. The Consul General from Singapore joined the luncheon held immediately after the tournament. The purpose of the event was to promote a healthy lifestyle and foster closer ties between the Consulates General in line with the spirit of ASEAN.
3. Winners of the tournament were based on top 3 best players’ score, novelty prizes for the longest drive, nearest to the pin and nearest to the line. Players from Vietnam, and Malaysia emerged as the best players while players from the other countries also won prizes for other categories.
4. The prizes which included medals and other gifts were handed over to the winners by all the Consuls General present at the event.
