The ASEAN Community in Guangzhou gathered together for the first time in a golf gathering held on 12 April 2014. The event was organised by the Consulates General of ASEAN Countries in Guangzhou with the aim to strengthen friendship among the ASEAN community residing in Guangzhou. The Dean of the ASEAN Grouping in Guangzhou, Mr. Francisco Munis, who is also the Consul General of Malaysia during his closing speech, remarked that such activity among the ASEAN community should be continued in the future as such gathering will further benefit the community by way of networking and interaction among them.
