On 30 November 2013, the Consulate General of Malaysia together with the Ladies Association (Perwakilan) Guangzhou and the Penang Restaurant participated in the Consular Corps International Charity Bazaar held at the Wanda Plaza, Baiyun. The Bazaar was co-organised by the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong and the Consular Corps. Nearly all of the 46 Consulates General in Guangzhou participated in the bazaar. The Malaysian group managed to raise RMB 5,000 during the bazaar by selling varieties of Malaysian food. The money raised, will be donated to the local charity organisation to be decided by the Guangdong Government. Also present to assist at the Malaysian Booth were the Consul General, Mr. Francisco Munis and officers of the Consulate General and their families.
