A delegation of 11 led by the Mr. Jiang Ling, Vice Mayor of Dongguan Municipal Government paid a courtesy call upon the Consulate-General of Malaysia to Guangzhou on 12 May 2010.
During the meeting, both parties agree to make more concerted effort in maintaining trade relation, attracting investment and promoting tourism. The Dongguan side hoped that the relation between Malaysia and Dongguan can be further developed not only by the overseas Chinese but also people of other ethnic groups in Malaysia. On the other hand, officials from the Consulate-General believed that information exchanges will pay a conducive role in eliminating obstacles arisen in business activities between the two sides.
