The Ladies Association of the Consulate General of Malaysia (PERWAKILAN) organised a family day outing on the 27 November 2011. The family day was held at the Shampoola Tourism and Holiday Forest in the Municipality of Qing Yuan. The whole of the Consulate General of Malaysia’s community in Guangzhou participated in the outing. During the outing, several activities were also held for the children.

The family day outing was thought by many as a soothing way to relax after another productive year, both for PERWAKILAN and the Consulate General’s officials. Through this outing, the already pleasant ties between PERWAKILAN members and their families were also made even more harmonious.

The family outing also doubled as a farewell party for Pn. Amnah Bujang, an avid PERWAKILAN’s member, who will be returning home to Malaysia after ending her tour of duty in Guangzhou. The Chairlady of PERWAKILAN also presented to her a certificate in appreciation of her contribution to PERWAKILAN.
In appreciation of PERWAKILAN’s efforts throughout the year in promoting closer ties within the Consulate General’s community as well as in promoting Malaysia in their semi official capacities, the Consul General, Mr. Francisco Munis expressed his gratitude to all PERWAKILAN members and Consulate General’s officials for their untiring and kind support to PERWAKILAN.
