On 4 July 2013, the Consul General, Mr. Francisco Munis hosted a dinner in honour of Mrs. He Mun Zhen who decided to retire as Consular Clerk from the Locally Recruited Staff Service Scheme. Mrs. He served the Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou for about 18 years from 20 March 1996 - 5 July 2013. As a token of appreciation to Mrs. He, the Consul General on behalf of the Malaysian Government also presented a plaque and certificate of appreciation as well as testimonial letter to her. The dinner was also attended by both Home Based and Locally Recruited Staff.
During her employment as a Consular Clerk with the Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, Mrs. He had shown commendable dedication and commitment to duties and responsibilities entrusted to her. In her 18 years of service with the Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, she had served under six Consuls General of Malaysia and worked with a number of officials and local colleagues. The long service she had reflects her laudable personal qualities and loyalty.
Mrs. He’s decision to end her employment was due to family commitment where she needs to relocate overseas to join her husband. In his speech, the Consul General highlighted that for her untiring service to the Malaysian community, Mrs. Ho is considered as a true Friend of Malaysia.
