FRIENDSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT 2012

On the 25 May 2012, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou organised a Friendship Golf Tournament. The tournament was aimed at strengthening the friendship and collaboration between officials of Malaysian and Chinese Government and Corporate sectors particularly in the Southeast China region. 72 officials from both sides participated in the golf tournament. The event was later concluded with a networking lunch which was attended by about a hundred golfers and guests. The event was launched by the Ambassador of Malaysia to the PRC, H.E. Datuk Iskandar Sarudin who was joined by the Consuls General of Malaysia from Guangzhou, Kunming and Hong Kong as well as by Mr. Chen Ruidong from the Tourism Administration of Guangdong representing the Chinese Government Sector, Mr. Yap Chong Hong representing the Malaysian Corporate Sector and Mr. K.K. Wong representing the Chinese Corporate sector.

 

 

The event provided the participants with the opportunity not only to enjoy their golfing game but also to meet old friends and interacting with new ones. It is hope that their interactions will continue towards progressive professional networking and friendship leading to greater prospect for promoting active interaction between Malaysia and China. The overwhelming support and responses received from both the government and corporate sectors towards the event reflected and is testimony to the aspiration in “Strengthening the Friendship and Collaboration between Officials of Malaysian and Chinese Government and Corporate Sectors” especially in the Southeast China region.
