On 28 April 2017, the Ministry of Federal Territory (KWP) Malaysia and the Dongguan Municipality jointly organized the Ground Breaking ceremony for the Malaysia-China Friendship Garden in Dongguan Botanical Garden. From the Malaysian side, YBhg. Datuk Sri Adnan Bin Hj. Md Ikhsan, Secretary General of KWP was present while the Dongguan side was represented by Mr. Huang Qinghui, the Vice Mayor. Also present were Mr. Muzambli Markam, the Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou and YBhg. Dato’ Abdul Majid Khan, President of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association and other Dongguan officials.
2. The Malaysia-China Friendship Garden which is designed to depict a traditional Melaka-styled Malay house with typical Malaysian village landscape is scheduled to be completed by September 2017.
