On the 27 November 2012, the Guangdong Provincial Government held a reception on the occasion of the launching of Guangdong International Exchange and Cooperation Week. Among the attendance from Malaysia are members of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association headed by its President, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Abdul Majid Khan. During the event, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Abdul Majid Khan also won an award for his role in strengthening relations between both countries. The Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, Mr. Francisco Munis also attended the reception.
