INTERNATIONAL DAY - 24 APRIL 2010 AT AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF GUANGZHOU
The International Day was held on 24 April, 2010 at American International School of Guangzhou. The hall and canteen was transformed into an exotic banquet of taste, aroma, sight and sound during the event.
The event featured a sumptuous banquet and a sale of cultural items from all over the world. It was a fundraising event and its purpose was to introduce our culture to the community.
More than 8 countries sent representatives to the event including Malaysia, China, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam,Australia, Italy, Singapore and Indonesia. People cooked and many other helped with the set-up and clean-up.
Our Perwakilan team prepared native/local delicacies such as nasi lemak, chicken curry, corn pudding, roti jala, kuih puteri mandi, and not to forget curry puff. This bazaar was a success because of the effort made by our wonderful volunteers of Perwakilan.
We really appreciate and would like to extend our special thanks to the Chairwoman of Perwakilan Guangzhou and their team members as well!
