On 23 September 2023 (Saturday), the Consulate General of Malaysia, Guangzhou organized a Malaysia Day Bowling event in conjunction with Malaysia Day and the upcoming National Sports Day (Hari Sukan Negara) celebration in October 2023. The purpose of this programme was to provide a platform for the Consulate to gather and interact with the Malaysian diaspora living in Guangzhou through an all-time Malaysian favourite sport, bowling, while celebrating the patriotic month.
2. The Consul General, Madam Suraya Pauzi in her speech at the event highlighted the importance of several core values of the Malaysia Madani concept such as compassion, respect and trust, which Malaysians should uphold.
3. Around 120 people attended the event, which consists of the business community, Malaysian Students Association of Guangzhou, and the Malaysian community working and living in Guangzhou.
