In an effort to establish good relations with Malaysians, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou participated in an all Malaysian badminton friendship tournament. The Consulate was represented by its officials and staff as well as family members. Over 100 Malaysians from Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Zhongshan participated in the event. Over 20 pairing teams tested their badminton skill with the cheer of their supporters. The whole day event was made memorable with the opportunities for all Malaysians to get to know and interact with each other. Organised by the Malaysian Association of Guangdong (MAG), the Badminton Friendship Tournament was held at the Ming Hang Sports Centre Guangzhou on the 17 October 2010. The Consul General of Malaysia was privileged to be given the honour to present the trophy for the overall winning team from Guangzhou.
