Success of the Guangdong-Malaysia Economic and Trade Cooperation Symposium

A Guangdong-Malaysia Economic and Trade Cooperation Symposium was jointly held by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangdong, Malaysian Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong, and Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion on 12 July in Garden Hotel, Guangzhou. President of the CCPIT Mr. Chen Wenjie, President of Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion Dato’ Lim Hock San represented their respective organization during the Symposium. The Chinese side and the Malaysian side exchanges opinions on how to intensify the effort in promoting bilateral Green Trade. Also highlighted during the Symposium was the discussion of details about the 2nd Council of Guangdong-Malaysia Entrepreneurs to be held in Guangzhou this year. The Consulate General of Malaysia was represented by the Consul General, Mr. Francisco Munis and Mr. Shawn Sim (Trade Consul). The Consul General in his speech proposed that both side need to look at resolving any barriers or potential barriers that could affect the effort to further promote bilateral trade.
