TELECONFERENCING WITH THE HONOURABLE PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA

On the occasion of the Chinese New Year Celebration on the 3 February 2011, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia organised a Teleconferencing Session with the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia. Guangzhou was one of the selected Malaysian Missions overseas among the selected seven Missions namely Seoul, Abu Dhabi, Warsaw, Vancouver, Perth and Los Angeles. About 60 Malaysians attended the teleconferencing sessions which was later followed by a Chinese New Year Hi-Tea. During the teleconferencing, the Honourable Prime Minister was briefed by the Consul General Mr. Francisco Munis on the Chinese New Year’s celebration situation in Guangzhou. Representative from the Malaysian Association of Guangdong as well as the Malaysian Students Association of Guangdong were also given the opportunity to interact with and briefed the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia. The event was a success and many Malaysians were happy with the Honourable Prime Minister’s advices as well as the Prime Minister’s willingness to interact with Malaysians during such special celebration.
