The 8th Palm Oil Health and Nutrition Forum was held at the Crowne Plaza Paragon Hotel in Xiamen, Fujian Province on 26 October 2017. The event was jointly organized by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and the Xiamen Nutritionists’ Association supported by the Consulate General.
2. The forum was jointly officiated by Mr. Muzambli Markam, Consul General, Puan Rosidah Radzian, Director of Product Development and Advisory Services, MPOB, Prof. Ye Shiman, Vice President of Xiamen University and Mr. Wang Lei Jun, President of the Xiamen Nutritionists’ Association.
3. The main purpose of the event was to promote the usage of palm oil and palm oil based products, its nutritional and health benefits among Xiamen’s nutritional experts. Also present were some of the major palm oil importers based in Xiamen namely IOI (Xiamen) Loders Croklaan Group and Vee Seng Group.
