YBhg. Datuk Abdul Rahim Nik, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) undertook a working visit to Guangdong, China from 26-28 May 2016. During the visit, Datuk Abdul Rahim visited the city of Guangzhou along with Foshan and its surrounding area which is renowned for its furniture industry.
2. In Guangzhou, Datuk Abdul Rahim visited the Consulate General and was warmly received by Mr. Muzambli Markam, Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou. Present were Mr. Abdul Razak Junaidi, Consul (Immigration) and Mr. Tan Ting Wai, Director of MTC office in Guangzhou.
3. MTC is currently doubling its efforts to expand the presence of Malaysian timber and timber based products in China.
