On 30 August 2017, Mr. Muzambli Markam, the Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou accompanied by Mr. Nazuki Abdullah, Consul (Investment); Mr. E Kim Tien, Consul (Information); Ms. Zaimah Osman, Consul (Trade); and Ms. Sharon Ho Consul Tourism visited WeChat (Tencent) Headquarters located in Guangzhou, Guangdong. The delegation was received by Mr. Lionel Sim, WeChat Global Senior Marketing Manager and Mr. Kevin from the WeChat Marketing Department.
2. During the visit, the delegation was given a comprehensive briefing and a tour around the company’s facilities. In addition, discussion also centered on possible collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and WeChat to provide tourism products for Chinese tourist visiting Malaysia through the use of WeChat platform.
