The Honourable Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation held a working visit to Changsha, Province of Hunan and Guangzhou, Province of Guangdong from the 20-24 October 2011. The Minister led a delegation of 10 officials including the Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Francisco Munis and officials from Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), SIRIM and AMCAM.

During the visit Changsha, Hunan, the Minister and delegation visited and held a meeting with Sunward officials. In Guangzhou, the Minister held a meeting with the Senior Officials of the Department of Agriculture of Guangdong led by the Director General of the Department. The visit was a success with both parties from Sunward and Guangdong Agriculture Department reached understanding to initiate exchanges in the areas of science and technology.
