On 5 Juy 2023, Mission with the cooperation of the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce in China (MAYCHAM) - Xi’an conducted another activity for fellow Malaysians in Xi’an. Approximately 30 Malaysians including students had the opportunity to visit the province’s Fire and Rescue department to understand the work of the department and also experience basic knowledge about fire prevention and rescue.
Participants get to network with officials from the Department, attended a briefing before going outdoors to witness a demonstration and also to try on the equipment used by the department. This is a rare opportunity and the participants gave positive feedback to the event and hopes that Mission together with MAYCHAM Xi’an would continue to liaise and work with government departments in Xi’an for the benefit of the Malaysians staying in this metropolitan city.
Participants were impressed by the skills and also the Chinese government’s allocation in terms of spending and upgrading the equipment used by the Fire and Rescue officers. These are essential as it provides quality and efficiency for the officers to carry out their noble duty in saving the lives of the people.
