On 4 September 2025, the Embassy of Malaysia in Havana brought together the Cuban Parliament, ProCuba, and ASEAN Heads of Missions and representatives for a vibrant exchange on strengthening cooperation and exploring new opportunities. The event features presentations from Ambassador Muhammad Radzi, H.E Ian Pedro Carbonell Karell, Deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power and Directorate of Macroeconomic Policies at the Central Bank of Cuba as well as representative from Pro Cuba.
The meeting served as a timely and constructive platform to deepen bilateral ties through parliamentary diplomacy and to advance a collaborative initiative in line with Malaysia's priorities as Chair of ASEAN this year.
