A signing ceremony of an agreement between Satellite Pipeline Sdn. Bhd. and AWS Schaefer Technologie AG took place on the sidelines of the Official Visit of The Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak on 27 September 2016. Signing the agreement on behalf of AWS Schäfer was the company’s CEO Mr. Hubertus Engels, while Satellite Pipeline was represented by its Managing Director Mr. Abdullah Osman. Present to witness the signing were Prime Minister Najib, Honorary President of the Association of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) Prof. Dato’ Seri Dr. Ludwig Georg Braun, Minister of International Trade and Industry Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong and CEO of Malaysian Investment Development Authority Dato’ Azman Mahmud.
Under the agreement, AWS Schäfer and Satellite Pipeline will work together to develop an induction pipe bending facility in Gebeng Industrial Estate in Pahang. The project is expected to involve investment from AWS Schäfer amounting to RM80 million.
