EXPLOSION AT ST. PETERSBURG UNDERGROUND TRAIN
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that an explosion took place on the St. Petersburg underground train, specifically at Sennaya Ploschad Station and Tekhnologichesky Institute Station at around 2.30 P.M. local time on 3 April 2017. Early reports indicated that at least 50 suffered injuries while 10 lost their lives in this incident.
At present, local authorities are still in the midst of identifying the victims. The Malaysian Embassy in Moscow is in close contact with the local authorities and the Malaysian community in St. Petersburg to ascertain that no Malaysians are involved in this incident.
