On 2 May 2026, Mr. Aniff M. Fauzi, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., was honoured to receive an invitation from the Southern Africa Young Diplomats (SAYD) to address the Young Diplomats Summit 2026 in Harare. The gathering was attended by aspiring young diplomats from Zimbabwe and H.E. the Ambassador of Cuba to Zimbabwe. Delivering a keynote entitled “Bridging Regions, Building Futures: Lessons from Malaysia’s and ASEAN’s Success Stories,” Mr. Fauzi reiterated the achievements of Malaysia’s economic transformation, partly contributed through the ASEAN Economic Integration, guided by the principles of the ASEAN Community vision, which have fostered prosperity and seamless travel connectivity among member states. A standout moment was the Embassy’s exhibition booth, which proudly displayed vibrant infographics on the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign and the MTCP programme. Delegates also received complimentary copies of the comic book “Let’s Travel to ASEAN” as part of the ASEAN Awareness Programme.
