H.E. Ambassador led the Malaysian delegation at the 2nd Global Summit for Patient Safety at the World Conference Centre, Bonn on 29-30 March 2017. The Summit, hosted by the Federal Minister for Health Hermann Groehe, and supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), brought together ministers of health and senior officials from more than 50 countries and international organization.
The 2-day Summit comprise workshops and ministerial debate on a wide range of topics related to patient safety. During the Summit, Malaysia presented a paper “Mandatory Patient Safety Courses in Malaysia—Doing More with Less”, which highlights efforts made by the Malaysian Government in providing patient safety education to house officers in Malaysia at minimal cost.
