The second workshop in the Change Now 2.0 Series was successfully held today (10/4/25) at Suvavou House in Suva, bringing a renewed focus to the role of governance, data management, and impact in driving sustainable digital transformation across government services. The workshop was part of the wider businessNOW FIJI programme — an initiative under the Ministry of Trade, Cooperatives, MSMEs and Communications aimed at boosting service delivery and operational efficiency in Fiji's public sector.Attended by BPAS agency officers and municipal council officers responsible for building permit approvals and inspections. The workshop, led by project advisor Mr K V Soon, emphasised the importance of data governance in shaping a transparent and responsive construction industry.Participants engaged in hands-on sessions exploring the role of data in construction industry transformation, strategies for improving data governance and the significance of collaborative impact and mindset shifts in public service. This workshop built on insights from the first session in the Change Now 2.0 series, further strengthening the capabilities of public servants to become champions of change within their respective agencies. As Fiji continues to position itself as a regional leader in digital governance, the Change Now workshops play a vital role in ensuring that government agencies are not only equipped with the right tools but also the right mindset to deliver results that matter.
