British High Commissioner to Fiji Kanbar Hossein-Bor hosted a special iftar in Suva, bringing together members of the Muslim community and partners to mark the holy month of Ramadan. The evening reflected the British High Commission Suva’s commitment to understanding and engaging with the diverse faiths and traditions that make up Fiji’s society. Sharing the sunset meal created a moment for reflection, dialogue, and connection, highlighting the importance of respect, inclusion, and learning from one another across cultures and religions. In the spirit of International Women’s Month, the High Commission also took the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the significant contributions of Muslim women to Fiji.
