On October 24, 2024, His Excellency Nor' Azam Mohd Idrus, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Suva, Republic of Fiji (“TYT”) hosted an engagement to honor alumni of the MTCP - Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme Distinguished guests welcomed included, inter alia, Mr. Josefa Vuniamatana, Director for Lands Department; Mr. Apisai Vulawalu, Assistant Director for Lands Department; and Mdme. Farzana Khan, Chief Valuer for Lands Department. The engagement began with the arrival of guests, followed by a speech from TYT. He expressed appreciation to the MTCP alumni for advancing mutual goals of progress and development by applying the knowledge from the MTCP courses in their respective roles. TYT also reaffirmed Malaysia’s aspiration to offering more MTCP opportunities to participants from countries under his responsibility. Mr. Mohamad Nordin Bin Adam then led a prayer, adding a religious element that underscored unity and camaraderie. The connections fostered and the memories shared during the engagement celebrated the enduring friendship between Malaysia and Fiji. This memorable afternoon marked another milestone in a journey of partnership as well as shared aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity for all.
