H.E. High Commissioner Nor’ Azam Mohd Idrus ("TYT") attended the welcoming dinner hosted by His Excellency Te Beretitenti Taneti Maamau, President of the Republic of Kiribati on 12 May 2025. During the dinner TYT fully concurred with H.E. on the importance of working together towards a future that is more prosperous and harmonious. This resonates with Malaysia, as one of the priority areas of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025 under the ASEAN Political-Security Community is to strengthen ASEAN as an effective force for peace, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
