080820: The High Commissioner hosted lunch for Mr. Winston Thompson and his wife (Mr. Thompson is Pro Chancellor of University of South Pacific as well as former Ambassador of Fiji to the US and the United Nations). Also invited was Ms. Friederike Eppen of German Development Cooperation as well as Mr. Villiame Waka who owns a local roofing company. They discussed and exchanged thoughts on the current economic/political, environment and education situation in Fiji and the pacific.
