The National Sports Day (Hari Sukan Negara, #HSN2024) was celebrated on 26 October 2024. The High Commission of Malaysia led by His Excellency Nor' Azam Mohd Idrus, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Suva, Republic of Fiji enjoyed building bonds with Malaysians and friends of Malaysia on that day. All enjoyed celebrating fitness, friendship, and a bit of competitive spirit under the “Cergas Bersama” (Get Active Together) theme. His Excellency Nor' Azam Mohd Idrus, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Suva, Republic of Fiji, emphasized in his speech that the purpose of the national sports day is to encourage Malaysians to embrace sports as a lifestyle choice. We started the day with Zumba for a boost of energy, followed by badminton matches, a beloved Malaysian sport. A special thank you to Perwakilan Suva for preparing authentic Nasi Lemak and Teh Tarik. It brought the Malaysian flavor to the event. Thanks to everyone who joined. Here’s to building stronger connections and staying active together, whether in Fiji or Malaysia.
