The National Sports Day (Hari Sukan Negara, #HSN2024) celebration was held on 26 October 2024. It was wonderful to reunite with our vibrant community in Suva. Together, we embraced this year’s theme, “Cergas Bersama” (Get Active Together), and celebrated fitness, friendship, and a bit of friendly competition. His Excellency Nor' Azam Mohd Idrus, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Suva, Republic of Fiji, emphasized in his speech that the purpose of the national sports day is to encourage Malaysians to embrace sports as a lifestyle choice. We started with Zumba to get the heart pumping, followed by exciting badminton matches, a sport close to Malaysian hearts. A special thank you to Perwakilan Suva for preparing authentic Nasi Lemak and Teh Tarik, adding that extra “taste of Malaysia” to our day. Thanks to everyone who joined us. Here’s to building stronger connections and staying active together, whether in Fiji or Malaysia.
