On 25 May 2024, the High Commission (MW Suva) organized the Badminton Breakfast Bash tournament. Steven, a Malaysian, who is the Vice President of the Badminton Fiji and PERWAKILAN Suva also played key roles in organizing that tournament. Speaking to the diverse crowd that included an international mix of badminton players, the Malaysian diaspora, media representatives, and members of the diplomatic corps, H.E. Nor' Azam Mohd Idrus, High Commissioner of Malaysia expressed his hope that Malaysian breakfast would “become one of the latest additions to the UNESCO list of cultural practices and expressions of intangible heritage.” Participants and players alike had a taste of #nasilemak, #kuih, and #tehtarik during the tournament.
