280520: As part of the Program Mendampingi Rakyat Malaysia (PMRM) activity, on the second day of Hari Raya, the High Commissioner visited Malaysians who work in Shangri-La Resort. There are currently 6 Malaysians working at the resort, led by Mr. Francis Lee as the General Manager. Our fellow Malaysians are also in-charge in the engineering, kitchen, administration and finance department of the resort. During this Covid time, we learned that Shangri-La did not retrench any of their staff and provide food supply as their corporate social responsibility. The resort like others, focus on domestic tourism with affordable prices for the locals and special day packages to utilize the facilities.
