111120: The High Commission attended the Remembrance Day Wreath Laying Ceremony, at the National War Memorial, Suva. The annual ceremony was held to commemorate the fallen troops and those that lost their lives during time of conflict. The ceremony was led by the President of Fiji by laying of wreath followed by the Prime Minister, Heads of Mission and the authorities. 1,600 Fijian army were sent to Malaya for the Malayan Campaign in 1952-1956 and 18 lives were lost during the period.
