13 June 2025 1 views

On Friday, 13 June 2025, we were honored to host a pivotal meeting with Professor Gatsi (Dean, Business School, University of Cape Coast & leading advocate for Islamic finance in Ghana) and Dr. Gorkel (Accra Polytechnic Accountancy Department) to explore collaboration with Malaysian expertise in Islamic finance.

The discussion focused on:

*Regulatory Frameworks: Aligning Ghana’s financial system with Islamic finance principles, leveraging insights from Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission, and LOFSA.

*Capacity Building: Partnering with INCEIF and IBFIM to empower Ghanaian institutions with knowledge and training.

*Stakeholder Engagement: Proposals for a technical committee involving the Ministry of Finance, Bank of Ghana, and Securities & Exchange Commission to drive integration.

Professor Gatsi’s vision for a Sharia-compliant financial ecosystem in Ghana marks a transformative step toward inclusive growth. Together with Malaysian partners, we’re committed to fostering innovation, stability, and ethical finance in West Africa!

Stay tuned as we bridge expertise for a sustainable financial future!
