The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM) responsible for Finance and Administration, Nana Akyaa Obeng-Adiyiah, met with the Charge d'Affaires ad interim (Cda a.i) at the High Commission of Malaysia on 12 August 2024.
The Deputy CEO informed that seven members of EXIM Bank of Ghana will be traveling to Malaysia to meet with EXIM Bank of Malaysia personnel to discuss collaboration moving forward.
The meeting in Malaysia aims to deepen the existing cordial relationship between the two banks, provide an opportunity for the institutions to identify ways of building synergy, and promote possible collaboration in existing as well as new areas of interest for mutual benefit. Additionally, the meeting will involve sharing insights on their respective operational processes.
The objectives of the bank, as stated in the Ghana Export-Import Bank Act 2016 (Act 911), are to support and develop trade between Ghana and other countries, both directly and indirectly, and to enhance Ghana's capacity and competitiveness in the international marketplace.
