Amb. Zahid had introductory calls with H.E. Amb Vicenza Lomonaco, Director General for Global Affairs of the Italian MFA on 16 Nov 2023, and H.E. Amb Alessandra Schiavo, Deputy Director-General for the Countries of Asia and Oceania of the Italian MFA on 9 Nov 2023.
During these meetings, both sides reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening and elevating the warm bilateral relations between Malaysia and Italy, including on trade, investment, defense, cultural exchange and other sectors, as well to explore further exchanges of visits between leaders and officials.
