17 April 2023 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan attended the 315th ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Meeting where ASEAN Ambassadors discussed recent developments in Japan including the local elections in April 2023 as well as preparation for the 10th anniversary of the Hiroshima-ASEAN Association event which will take place on 2-3 June 2023 in Hiroshima. The city will also be the host for the G7 Summit in May 2023.
The ASEAN Ambassadors also had an iftar to bid farewell to Ambassador Peter Tan of Singapore who will be completing his tour of duty in Japan before taking up his new assignment in China.
