17 April 2025 – The 325th ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Meeting was chaired by H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan. The Meeting brought together the ASEAN Heads of Mission in Japan and served as a platform for the exchange of views on key regional and international matters, including updates on forthcoming ACT activities and initiatives.
The Meeting was further honoured by the presence of H.E. Shingo Miyamoto, Director-General of the Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, who engaged in an interactive session with the Committee on the direction of ASEAN-Japan relations under the administration of Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
The Meeting concluded on a cordial note with a luncheon hosted by H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Shahril, providing an opportunity for informal exchanges and the strengthening of camaraderie among ASEAN colleagues.
