PROGRAM : AIDIL FITRI 1432 HIJRAH CELEBRATION BY MALAWAKIL TOKYO

In conjunction with the announcement of the 1st Syawal 1432 Hijrah by the Government of Malaysia, Malawakil Tokyo has taken the opportunity to organize the celebration of Aidil Fitri to all Malaysian residing in Japan on 30 August 2011 at the premise of the Embassy of Malaysia in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.
The event started with a welcoming remark on behalf of the Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan by Mr. Wan Aznainizam Yusri Wan Abdul Rashid in his capacity as the Charge d’Affaires at interim of the Embassy, followed by the Aidil Fitri Prayer and Khutbah Aidil Fitri by Y.Bhg. Ustaz Abd. Rahman Hj. Yusof from the Department of the Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM); who was at that time undergoing a tour program to visit Malaysian students in some of the areas in Japan. Subsequently, all invitees were ushered to enjoy the food and beverages, which some were specially prepared by the Perwakilan Tokyo in particular nasi himpit, rendang and some Malaysian “kueh raya”.
It was estimated that almost 480 Malaysians (mostly Malaysian students) attended the event of which was held in a very friendly and celebrative atmosphere.
