10 August 2024 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo, Japan, supported the Kasumigaseki Children’s Day organised by the ASEAN-Japan Center (AJC), where 15 Japanese children engaged in Batik coloring activities featuring various animal motifs such as the orangutans, turtles, butterflies, elephants, and more. Before the activity, Ms. Sachiko Nakata, Information Assistant, gave a brief presentation to introduce the process and cultural significance of Batik.
This program provided the children with a unique opportunity to learn about and appreciate traditional Malaysian art, fostering cultural understanding and creativity in a hands-on, interactive way.
