2 March 2024 – Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo with the collaboration of the Japan Graduates Association of Malaysia (JAGAM) Japan Branch, organised a Chinese New Year 2024 Reception at the Embassy. The event was attended by H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, Mr. Gary Tang Kok Lian, Chairman of JAGAM, Datuk Steven Tan, Chairman of JAGAM Japan Branch as well as the Malaysian community in Japan.
The event started with a captivating lion dance performance by the Yokohama Chinese High School followed by a Yee Sang Tossing Ceremony led by H.E. Ambassador Dato’. Guests were served with delectable flavours of authentic Chinese Malaysian cuisine. The event has fostered unity and understanding among Malaysians in Japan, leaving a lasting impact and cherished memories for all who participated.
